Governance Structure
Lawrence College Ghora Gali is governed by a Governing Body that provides strategic oversight and ensures the institution fulfils its educational mission. The Governing Body operates under the authority of the Government of Pakistan and the Government of Punjab, and is responsible for the college's long-term direction, financial stewardship and institutional integrity.
The Principal of the college serves as the chief executive and is accountable to the Governing Body. Day-to-day administration is the Principal's responsibility, while matters of policy, major expenditure and strategic direction require Governing Body approval.

Composition
The Governing Body of Lawrence College typically comprises members drawn from government, the military, the Old Gallian community, and distinguished civilians. This composition ensures a breadth of expertise and perspective in institutional governance.
The Chairman of the Governing Body is a senior appointee, typically a retired senior military officer or government official with a connection to the college's history. Other members include representatives of the Federal and Punjab governments, senior OGAP members, and co-opted individuals with relevant expertise in education, finance or law.
The Principal's Role
The Principal of Lawrence College holds a position of great prestige and responsibility. As the senior academic and administrative officer, the Principal is responsible for the day-to-day running of the institution, the welfare of students, the management of staff, and the maintenance of academic standards.
Historically, Lawrence College has had 31 Principals since its founding in 1860 — both British (during the colonial era) and Pakistani (from Independence onwards). Each Principal has left their mark on the institution, adapting it to the needs of their era while preserving its founding ethos.

In addition to the Governing Body, Lawrence College benefits from the counsel of several advisory committees including an Academic Committee, a Finance Committee, and the Old Gallian Association Pakistan (OGAP). These bodies provide specialist input and ensure the college benefits from the expertise of its broader community.
OGAP in particular plays a significant role in supporting the college — fundraising for infrastructure projects, establishing scholarship funds for deserving students, and mentoring current students through career guidance and networking opportunities.
