The Mission of LC Library
The Lawrence College Library exists to select, organise and maintain the print and electronic resources that support the college's academic curriculum. It serves students across all three schools — Junior, Preparatory and Senior — through dedicated library facilities tailored to each age group and level of study.
The library programme at Lawrence College combines a rich physical collection, built over many decades, with modern digital access to thousands of journals, e-books and research databases. The goal is to equip every Gallian with the tools for genuine intellectual enquiry — a habit that lasts long after they leave Ghora Gali.

Digital Resources — HEC Digital Library
Through affiliation with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Digital Library, Lawrence College students have access to an exceptional range of online academic resources — resources that would otherwise be available only to university students.
50,000+ e-books · 25,000+ peer-reviewed research articles · Available to all Senior School students
OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue): Computerised book-search available through the library management system, enabling students to locate and reserve volumes across all three library locations.
The library also provides dedicated computer systems for research, wireless internet connectivity, audio/visual equipment, and quiet study spaces including research cubicles and individual study carrels.
Special Collections
Beyond the general collection, the Hamid Library houses two notable special galleries:
Quaid Gallery
Displaying photographs, documents and artifacts celebrating the life and legacy of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, founder of Pakistan.

Dedicated to Allama Muhammad Iqbal — poet, philosopher and the intellectual inspiration behind Pakistan — featuring photographs and interpretive materials.
