A College with a Voice
Lawrence College has always believed that the ability to write, argue and communicate clearly is as important as any examination result. The college's publication tradition — from the Gallian Magazine to its educational pamphlet series — gives students and staff a formal outlet for ideas, achievements, and the record of college life.
The Gallian Magazine
The Gallian Magazine is the college's flagship publication — a record of college life, student writing, academic articles, sporting achievements, alumni news, and institutional updates published each academic year. It is produced in two separate editions to serve the full breadth of the Lawrence College community:
English Edition
The English-language edition carries student essays, sports reports, alumni features, institutional news and creative writing from across the college.
Urdu Edition
The Urdu-language edition presents articles, poetry and news in Urdu, celebrating Pakistan's national language and the literary tradition it carries.
The Gallian Magazine is an important record of the college's history and culture. Past editions are preserved in the Hamid Library and the college archive. Old Gallians are encouraged to contribute to the magazine from wherever they are in the world — contact the college to submit articles or alumni news.
Educational Publications
Lawrence College produces a series of educational pamphlets for distribution to students — compact, accessible texts covering topics of moral, civic and religious importance. These publications reflect the college's commitment to character formation alongside academic learning.
