A Life Beyond the Classroom
One of the great strengths of the boarding school model is the richness of life beyond formal lessons. Lawrence College offers an extensive programme of clubs and societies that allow students to explore interests, develop expertise, and exercise leadership in areas that complement their academic and sporting development.
Clubs and societies meet regularly throughout the term, under the guidance of staff supervisors and student leaders. Participation is encouraged across all year groups, and the best society events draw audiences from across the college community.
Adventure & Hiking Club
Lawrence College's mountain setting makes this club uniquely privileged. Students explore the Murree Hills through organised treks, nature trails and outdoor challenges that build physical endurance, teamwork and an appreciation for the natural environment around Ghora Gali.
Islamic Society
The Islamic Society supports the religious and spiritual development of Muslim students. Activities include Quran recitation competitions, Husn-e-Qirat, Seerah study and support for the college's programme of religious observance, including Jummah and daily prayers.
Reading Club
The Reading Club nurtures the love of books and literature among Gallians. Regular reading sessions, book discussions and literary workshops encourage students to develop the habit of reading — a cornerstone of intellectual development at Lawrence College.
Horse Riding
Horse riding is a distinguished tradition at Lawrence College, available during the summer months. Students learn equestrian skills under professional supervision, developing discipline, balance and confidence — qualities that define the Gallian character.
Creative Writing Club
The Creative Writing Club provides a platform for Gallians to express themselves through prose and poetry. Writing workshops, competitions and contributions to college publications develop literary skills and give voice to the rich creative talent within the student community.
Robotics / AI Club
As an emerging need of the day, the Robotics and AI Club encourages students to explore the future through modern technology. Hands-on projects in programming, automation and artificial intelligence prepare Gallians for the technological landscape of tomorrow.
Science Club
The Science Club promotes enthusiasm for the natural and applied sciences beyond the formal curriculum. Experiments, demonstrations and science exhibitions allow students to explore scientific ideas practically, preparing them for SSC, HSSC and university-level study.
Dramatics Club
The Dramatics Club develops confidence, expression and stagecraft through theatrical performance. Productions staged in Hamid Hall (the College Auditorium) give students a platform to showcase talent in acting, directing, set design and performance arts.
Debating Society
One of Lawrence College's most prestigious societies, the Debating Society trains students in argumentation, research and public speaking. Regular inter-house and inter-school debates are held, sharpening the critical thinking and oratory skills that Gallians carry into public life.
Music Club
The Music Club brings together Gallians with a passion for both modern and traditional music. Fully equipped with instruments, the club provides a platform for students to develop their musical abilities and perform at college events and inter-house competitions.
Fine Arts Club
The Fine Arts Club celebrates visual creativity through painting, sketching, crafts and design. The Science & Fine Arts Exhibition is one of the most anticipated events in the college calendar, showcasing the remarkable artistic talent of Gallians across all schools.
Bazm-e-Iqbal
Bazm-e-Iqbal honours the legacy of Allama Iqbal — philosopher, poet and the spiritual father of Pakistan. Students explore his poetry and philosophy, participating in recitations and discussions that deepen their understanding of national identity and Islamic thought.
